Who is it suitable for?
People with a BMI under 30, reasonably elastic skin and close to their target weight are suitable. For very overweight patients weight loss first is advised; liposuction is not obesity treatment.
Risks and points to note
Contour irregularity, fluid collection (seroma), sensation changes and rarely deep vein thrombosis may occur. Wearing the garment and walking early reduce risks. The amount of fat that can be removed is limited by safety thresholds.
